30 Days Of Weight Loss Challenge: Day 15
Day 15: Are you vegan/vegetarian? If so, has this helped you lose weight? If not, would you consider it?
I am not a vegan or a vegetarian. I was a veggie from the age of 9 to about 22, though I went from vegetarian to pescatarian and back a few times.
I have no problems with the lifestyle (though a few of you militant veggies are pretty dang annoying), it is just not for me. I like meat, it’s delicious and filling, plus a protein powerhouse. I would never in my life be able to give up eggs. I use honey and milk almost every day. I wear leather. I love animals, and respect the life they gave to feed me.
I have had many delicious vegan and vegetarian meals in my life. What it comes down to is, really, I just love food (duh, obviously). I don’t want to exclude anything at all, I would fear I was missing out on something.
If a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle is for you - awesome. But it’s not for me, speaking from experience, and I have honestly never felt healthier since having it back in my diet. Can we drop this and just get along, now?
